TECHNIQUE
Fish with a bung or strike indicator and soft stops to suspend the fly at the desired depth. Cast out, allow the indicator to sink to the target depth, and watch carefully for twitches, wobbles, or subtle movement. Use indicators that reveal ‘drop-back’ bites, common when fish take the fly while it sinks, such as with eggs.
